Trophy Club's fall calendar starts with Fright Lights on October 1 and runs through the Harvest Festival on November 14 and the mayor's coffee on November 16. The second phase of the Bobcat Boulevard roundabout started in mid-September and is scheduled to run until early January 2027. So every event on the town's autumn schedule happens while the intersection of Bobcat Boulevard and Marshall Creek Drive is still under construction.
Most of these events take place at addresses that aren't on Bobcat Boulevard. The big exception is the Byron Nelson High School homecoming parade on October 21, whose route includes Bobcat Boulevard. The Town has already warned that the roundabout will affect it.
What Phase II Is Building While the Leaves Turn
Phase I ran from July 20 to mid-September 2026. It added a right-turn lane into Byron Nelson High School and a center-turn lane into Wonderland Montessori School, and it paved the first half of the new roundabout. According to the Town's schedule, Phase II moves traffic onto the finished northern half and shifts the work to the south side of the intersection. Traffic patterns on Marshall Creek Drive change during this phase.
The second half of the project is also the finishing work. The Town's list for Phase II includes:
- Construction of the second half of the roundabout
- Lighting conduit and electrical infrastructure
- Decorative stone veneer and Trophy Club monument lettering
- Brick pavers, landscaping, irrigation and sidewalks
- Final striping, signage, sod and punch-list inspections
Work generally follows the Town's noise ordinance, which allows construction from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. One more change hasn't happened yet. Sandra Pettigrew, Roanoke's public engagement manager, told Community Impact in August that "at some point during construction, a section of Marshall Creek Road between Schooling Road and Bobcat Boulevard will be closed, and a detour will be routed through Roanoke." No date for that closure had been published as of the end of September.
People on foot have a detour too. The sidewalk on Bobcat Boulevard between Roseville Drive and Byron Nelson High School Driveway No. 4 closed for the road widening. The Town says it should reopen once the widening is done. Until then, walkers coming down Roseville Drive or Trophy Club Drive cross at Trophy Club Drive and Bobcat Boulevard and follow the south sidewalk along the construction fencing. Students headed to Medlin Middle School or Beck Elementary keep going west to the crossings at Parkview Drive.
October 21 Is Where the Calendar and the Construction Meet
This year's homecoming parade theme is "UNWRAPPED," inspired by Spotify Wrapped. The parade runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21. The Town's event notice names the streets on the route and connects them directly to the roundabout:
"Drivers should plan ahead for temporary road closures and delays along the parade route, including Bobcat Boulevard, Trophy Club Drive, Park View Drive, and Durango Drive. … Ongoing construction at the Bobcat Boulevard/Marshall Creek Drive roundabout and the current traffic patterns around Marshall Creek Drive may create additional congestion before, during, and after the parade."
The notice sends readers to trophyclub.org/hoco for the full route map. That short link wasn't loading at the end of September. Until it does, the four streets above are the only confirmed part of the route. Families who live along Durango Drive or Park View Drive and plan to leave home that evening should allow extra time in both directions.
The same night, the Citizen Academy's SWAT and Canine session runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Police Station, 1 Trophy Wood Drive. Participants are arriving there while the parade is on the streets.
The Rest of October, Address by Address
Apart from the parade, no event on the Town's October and November calendar lists a Bobcat Boulevard address. Here is the season in one place:
| Date | Event | Time | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct. 1–20 | Fright Lights Contest | Ongoing | Townwide |
| Oct. 3 | Pet Fest | 9 a.m.–noon | Freedom Dog Park, 2675 Trophy Park Drive |
| Oct. 6 | National Night Out | 6–9 p.m. | Registered neighborhood gatherings |
| Oct. 17 | TCWC Fall Garage Sale | 8 a.m.–2 p.m. | Townwide |
| Oct. 21 | Homecoming Parade | 6–8:30 p.m. | Route includes Bobcat Blvd., Trophy Club Dr., Park View Dr., Durango Dr. |
| Oct. 24 | Shred It & Forget It | 8 a.m.–noon | Town Hall, 1 Trophy Wood Drive |
| Oct. 24 | National First Responders Day | 4–6 p.m. | Trophy Club Town Center, 2240 TX-114 |

| Nov. 16 | Breakfast with Tiffany | 9–10 a.m. | Starbucks inside Tom Thumb, 101 Trophy Lake Drive |
A few logistics details on the Town's pages are easy to miss. Permits for the October 17 garage sale, which the Trophy Club Women's Club organizes, are sold at Tom Thumb by cash, check or credit card. Permits bought before 5 p.m. the day before the sale are added to the sale's Google Map, and the sale goes on rain or shine. For National Night Out on October 6, neighborhoods can register their gatherings so Trophy Club police and fire crews can stop by. October 24 has two events: the shredding event at Town Hall in the morning and the TC Rotary Club's First Responders Day at Town Center in the late afternoon, with TCPD and TCFD on hand.
Mayor Tiffany's monthly coffee is skipping October. It comes back on Monday, November 16. By then the roundabout should be in its final stretch, so it's a good time to ask for an update in person.
Why the Town Chose a Season of Detours
The project goes back to a 2018 traffic study that flagged future capacity problems on Bobcat Boulevard. After engineering analysis and public input, the Town Council directed design of the roundabout in September 2024. The design includes a sidewalk connection to the school and added turn lanes, with pedestrian safety at High School Driveway No. 4 as the priority. In September 2024, Community Impact reported that more than 60% of survey respondents supported a roundabout at Bobcat and Marshall Creek, and that Lee Engineering had recommended one there.
The Town also looked at a pedestrian bridge and decided against it. The FAQ gives several reasons. There isn't enough right-of-way for the long ADA ramps a bridge needs. Students walking, biking and riding scooters would find a bridge less convenient than a street-level crossing. And traffic would still have to stop when large groups of students crossed, so flow on Bobcat would barely improve.
Teague Nall & Perkins handled the engineering design. The Town Council awarded the construction contract to McMahon Contracting, LP on May 26, 2026. The reported cost depends on the source. In March 2026, Community Impact put the total at $4.5 million, with $2.5 million from the Town's 2023 bond and $2 million from a Denton County Transportation Road Improvement Program grant. The same outlet called it a $3.8 million project in August 2026. Neither article explains the difference.
The Storefronts at 2550 Bobcat Boulevard Stay Open
The Town says businesses in the construction area will stay open throughout the project. It has asked residents to keep shopping along the Bobcat Boulevard corridor while the work continues. The Town's business directory lists several of them at 2550 Bobcat Blvd., including ART Z Studio in Suite 107 and Big Chill Ice Cream in Suite 112. Conquer Fitness's Trophy Club studio is in Suite 110.
Pet Wants, in Suite 101, is one of this year's additions. It opened on February 15 and offers pet products plus dog and cat grooming. If you're getting a dog ready for Pet Fest at Freedom Dog Park on October 3, it's a nearby place to start.
On SH 114, Pace Golf Lounge opened February 5 at 2001 E. SH 114, Suite 200. It has four indoor TrackMan simulator bays and a bar, and it works with Vinny's Italian Restaurant next door for food. Bay time there doesn't depend on November weather.
November, and the Parks Next in Line
The last three outdoor events of the season are at Harmony Park and Independence Park. In the Parks & Recreation Master Plan the Town adopted on February 23, 2026, Harmony Park and Freedom Dog Park are both on the short-term list for inclusive playground replacements. The plan also recommends ADA trail upgrades at Linear Park and better trailheads and wayfinding. The plan presents these as recommendations, and none of the sources here confirm that construction has started. Still, two of this fall's venues are already named as the next spaces to get attention.
The Town's website was refreshed on August 27, 2026, and that's where updates on the roundabout and the rest of the calendar are posted. The roundabout's estimated completion is early January 2027, weather permitting, about seven weeks after the Harvest Festival at Independence Park East.
